When was the last time those clients heard from YOU?
Those who have already done business with you should be at the top of your list for keeping in touch!
If you don't have a "client retention" campaign in place, here is a simple 3-step campaign for you to reconnect with them: 1) Pull a list of clients that you haven't done business with for over 3 months and make a note of their last purchase with you. 2) Segment the list into small groups (i.e. if your list is 100 clients, break it into groups of 10) 3) PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THEM! (call 1 group/day until you get through the list)
What do you say? Say "I was just thinking about you... it's been some time since we were worked together on your <name of project/product purchased> and I wanted to touch base with you to see how you are doing..." etc.
What you say is not as important as the fact that you called!
THEN... establish a client retention campaign that is systematic and automatic so you are connecting with your clients at least 1x/month!
Remember it is easier to keep a client you have than to acquire a new one!
