Growing Business Case Study #24 We began working with a meeting and event planning agency, who we'll call "Client A", in early 2004. As a small agency looking to grow their business, Client A wanted to develop a marketing plan... nothing elaborate, just a few campaigns that were EFFECTIVE as well as COST-EFFECTIVE.
We developed a marketing plan for Client A that included a mix of "grass roots" strategies (networking, etc.) and digital marketing (HTML eNewsletters). Each month for 6 months we CONSISTENTLY implemented these strategies. At the end of 6 months the response was tremendous... Client A was gaining top-of-mind awareness, getting more referrals, building strong alliances AND getting more business!
"Now what?", Client A queried. "This is really starting to work... I can see a change in my business... we're growing... I want the business to grow more!"
So... we assessed some other opportunities and researched other strategies. Over the next 12 months, we continued the initial campaigns, revamped some of the marketing collateral, and added two direct mail campaigns: one for "client retention"; the other to prospects... and the results were great! Business continued to grow... and to this day, we are still continually assessing and re-assessing; changing where needed, but always being consistent.
