TRUTH or MYTH? If a new marketing campaign gets little or no immediate response the first time, it should not be continued.
MYTH! Whether it's an email campaign, exhibit campaign, referral campaign, direct mail campaign or other marketing strategy, even if all the elements are in place, sometimes the first time doesn't produce much of a response. The reasons vary, but one thing remains unchanged... CONSISTENCY is critical to your campaign's overall success!
If you are unwilling to commit to being consistent with a campaign for on a regular frequency for a specified amount of time, then don't start the campaign at all. Once is not enough. Twice is not enough. You've heard it said that with direct mail it takes SEVEN impressions on your target audience before they will remember your business and your message... and then they MAY respond.
So, you reach the right target with the right message in the right way and the response is minimal... don't quit! Track and assess the campaign and then implement again... track, assess and implement again... track, assess... you get the picture.
