WIIFM [wif•uhm] n. Acronym:
What's In It For Me
1. A mode of thinking when investing time in marketing activities.
2. Used as a way of subjectively analyzing benefit vs. investment.
So that's the definition... but, what does this mean to YOU, ?
What it means to you is that time is money. And when you are participating in marketing activities, such as networking or
exhibiting or attending a tradeshow, you are spending both, so make it count.
Questions to Ask Yourself (in addition to "What's In It For Me"):
> Is the marketing activity going to involve you connecting with prospects or referral sources that will result in new or repeat business?
> Has a particular cost you more (whether it's time or money) than you've gained in leads?
> What is your purpose for doing the marketing activity?
If you can say that you're meeting the right people, generating good leads, and achieving the goal of the activity, then GREAT! Keep it up! If not, truly take a step back and be honest... is it a good use of your time?

important parts of doing business. I am simply saying to be sure there is a healthy balance of social vs. business... of giving vs. receiving.
